  • Yes, applicants must be in valid F-1 status to be able to apply for this scholarship.

  • Students need to 1) submit their application online, and then 2) submit their complete scholarship application to their Designated School Official (DSO)/International Student Advisor on their home campus.

    A complete packet includes a copy of the application (you will receive in an email) and two letters of recommendation.

  • Students applying for the Higher Education Scholarship have until March 31, 2026 to submit their complete scholarship application to their DSO/International Student Advisor.

    Students applying for the Secondary School Scholarship have until March 31, 2026 to submit their complete scholarship application to their DSO/International Student Advisor.

  • Yes, as long as you continue your studies at a Florida institution of higher education, you are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

  • Yes, one letter of recommendation must come from a faculty member while the other can come from non-instructional staff member such as an advisor, counselor, dean, etc.

  • If you are currently in your final year of high school, please apply for the Secondary School Scholarship.

  • No, to be eligible for this scholarship you will need to attend a Florida college or university in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • No, to be eligible for this scholarship you will need to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and students in their first semester do not yet have a GPA.

  • No, to be eligible for this scholarship you will need to be enrolled at a Florida college or university through the Spring 2027 semester. The scholarship payments are disbursed in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • The Study Florida Scholarship Committee expects to announce the winners for the 2026-27 academic year by June-July, 2026.

  • The Scholarship Committee will mail the scholarship checks directly to your college or university. The scholarship is for $1,000 in Fall 2026 and $1,000 in Spring 2027.
