Stetson University
Stetson University was founded in 1883 by Henry A. DeLand. The main campus is located in DeLand, Florida, about 30 minutes from Daytona Beach and 45 minutes from downtown Orlando and a second campus for the College of Law is located two hours south of Orlando in Tampa Bay in the city of Gulfport, close to Tampa and just minutes away from St. Petersburg and its many beaches.
Stetson University is the oldest private school in Florida and is home to many Florida firsts, including the first collegiate newspaper, first schools of business administration and music, and first college of law. It boasts 73 academic programs between the School of Business Administration, School of Music, College of Arts & Sciences, and College of Law. US News and World Report recently ranked it the 6th best value college in the southern US and ranked Stetson Law as the top (#1) program for Trial Advocacy and third best for Legal Writing Education. National Jurist Magazine also recognized Stetson Law's LL.M. in International Law as one of the best LL.M. Programs for career opportunities.
